Roast Potatoes Recipe

 

Ever wondered why your roast potatoes don’t turn out the way you expected?  Take a look at this roast potatoes recipe to see the simple tricks to perfect them.

Ingredients

1.5 kg King Edwards Potatoes

80ml Goose Fat

Method

Heat the oven to 200 degrees, then peel the potatoes.

Bring a pan of water to the boil and par boil the potatoes for 15 mins.

Drain off the water and with the lid on shake the pan (this will roughen up the edges of the potatoes.

Put the Goose fat in a roasting tin and put into the oven until it’s sizzling. Then add the potatoes carefully, trying to make sure they are totally basted in the fat.

Cook on the top shelf of the oven for 45 mins or until golden.

Serves: 6

Preparation time: 20 mins

Cooking time: 60 mins
