Question Title: Chocolate fudge pie?

August 24th, 2009 | Posted by admin in Your Cookery Questions

Okay, yesterday i went for one of the best meals I’vehad in ages. I had the most delicious dessert. It was a chocolatefudge pie (served cold). The texture was just like light fudge (almostcrumbly), not cake like at all and it had fruit and nuts in. It tastedso delicious that i want to make it myself. All the recipes i can findare for cake textured pies, not like what i had. I was wondering ifanyone had the recipe for something similar to what i want, i wouldlike to make it for my boyfriend, who loved it even more than me! Iwould be so appreciative! Thanks! x

I have a recipe for that – it is made in a saucepan and then put in the fridge to go cold…

    Ingredients
1lb dried fruit, cherries & nuts
4 tablespoons brandy or fruit juice
    10oz plain chocolate
    4oz butter
    1lb 4oz icing sugar
    8oz broken biscuits – digestives

    NO COOKING….. – Well a little bit..!

    Method
Soak dried fruit etc. in brandy or fruit juice for 1 hour.
    Melt together chocolate & butter.
Add icing sugar to butter mixture.
Place broken biscuits in foil and roll out with rolling pin until quite small.
    Mix all ingredients together.
Pack into 1lb loaf tin, chill, cut into slices.

    Enjoy….
