Question: Overcooked Christmas Cake

Help.My cake is full of lovely ingredients but got overcooked and is hard. Any solution or do I just give it to the
birds.

    It might be nice used in a “rocky road” type cake if you chop it up, combine with marshmallow, walnuts, cherries etc and mix into a chocolate sauce.

    Or maybe try a slice fried in butter and served with thick cream.

    If it’s really hard it might be usable in a base for a cheesecake or something similar. Crumble it and let it dry completely, then mix with melted butter to make the base.

    Giving it to the birds should be a last resort!!
