Great recipe using Porterhouse steak and a lot of lovely spicy tomato sauce to finish it off.

Ingredients

2 Porterhouse steaks
1 red chilli
1 medium sized onion
400g tin chopped tomato
1 garlic clove
1 carrot
Basil
oil
salt and pepper

Method

1. chop finely the onion, carrot and garlic. Add to a saucepan and fry for 3 mins in a small amount of oil. Add in a small amount of salt and pepper

2. Add the tinned tomatoes, chopped chilli and chopped basil, cover and allow to simmer for 25 mins.

3. In the meantime cook the steaks to your liking and cook some fries in the oven.

4. When everything is cooked, pour the sauce over the steaks and serve immediately, garnish with salad if required.

Tastes pretty good, but I would recommend leaving the steaks for a couple of minutes after they are cooked. This will ensure they are nice and tender :)
