I went to the shops today to get a new frying pan, I couldn’t believe how much some of them were!  Some were as much as £150.

Please can someone let me know if there is a benefit to spending this much on pans, or any other cooking utensils?  I assume there is but would like some advice before i empty my wallet!

    Hello,

We’re always racing through frying pans at home, cheap ones just don’t last very long. If you are prepared to spend more money Le Creuset have a lovely range and will last. If you don’t want to spend that much look for a frying pan with a really solid base, I think Ikea do a cheaper range of Le Creuset types.

    Hope this helps,

    Rhianne

I don’t fry much, but I bought a really cheap non stick frying pan in Ikea in January…I think it was under £2 and it is still going strong and is a super wee pan for omelettes etc. I have bought cheap pans in the past which really were rubbish, but I would definitely get one from Ikea again!

Don’t buy a pan set from Argos. Ours fell to bits after only one month.
I bought some single pans from Asda for only £5 each and they are still going strong

    Hello,
I have just bought a fantastic pan it is a meyer circulon. Read all the reviews and everyone rates them 10/10. I found mine in tk maxx normally about £50 but was only £20. Would never buy a cheap pan you will wnd up paying more in the long run!!!

Hi, i bought a cheap wok from tesco and withen 2 weeks the non stick coating started to come off and when i washed it it went rusty in the bare parts so now when i wash it i dry it straight away and smear it with a little cooking oil.
