Fruit Cake Recipe
Ingredients
1 block of butter
2 cups of sultanas (or fruit of your choice)
1 cup of sugar (any will do)
Half a cup of water
2 cups of flour (self-raising)
2 beaten eggs
Method
Melt butter, sugar, water and fruit together. Bring butter,
sugar, water and fruit to boil and simmer for two minutes.
Take off the heat and let it cool long enough to be able to stir in the eggs
without curdling or cooking them.
Stir in flour and put in a loaf tin and cook for approximately 35-45 minutes on
approximately 160 degrees C or until a cake tester comes out clean.
Serves: 10
Preparation time: 10 mins
Cooking time: 35 mins
