Easy Banana Bread Recipe

A very simple, but extremely tasty banana bread recipe. A great treat with a cup of tea.
Ingredients
285g plain flour
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
½ tsp salt
110g butter, plus extra for greasing
225g caster sugar
1 egg
4 ripe bananas, mashed
85ml milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
Method
Preheat the oven to 180C
Sift the flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt into a mixing bowl.
In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar together
Add the egg, mashed bananas, milk and vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture and mix well.
Fold in the flour mixture.
Pour the cake mixture into a loaf tin.
Bake for about an hour, or until well-risen and golden-brown or until a knife through the centre of the loaf comes out clean
Remove from oven and stand for a few mins, then place on wire rack to cool.
Serves: 10 slices
