Chocolate Brownie Recipe (Without Eggs)

40 g all-purpose flour
235 ml water
115 g butter
400 g white sugar
5 ml vanilla extract
55 g unsweetened cocoa powder
8 g baking powder
250 g all-purpose flour
3 g salt
60 g chopped walnuts (optional)

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9×13 inch pan. In a large saucepan combine 40g cup of flour and water. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until thick. Transfer to a mixing bowl, set aside and allow to cool.
2. In a smaller saucepan, melt the butter. When melted, add the cocoa and mix until smooth; set aside to cool. Beat the sugar and vanilla into the cooled flour mixture. Stir the cocoa into the mixture until well blended. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt, stir into the batter until just blended. Fold in walnuts if you are using them. Spread evenly in the prepared pan.
3. Bake for around 20 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool before cutting into slices.

  2. What Cool flour mixture? and I’m supposed to add the Cocoa twice? Doesn’t make sense! Might be a great recipe but only by chance. If you’re gonna write instructions; Please do it properly!

  3. It doesn’t even say to add the cocoa twice or anything it makes perfect sense! You mustnt be able to read.

  4. Heey guys dont argue ur grown adults (or at least i think so)
I am planning 2 make this brownies but i am a tad confused.
Dunnowhy its probcoz of ur arguements lol.

  5. At first i thought this wouldn’t work, even while mixing the butter and cocoa i thought i did something wrong because it looked funny but it turns out that it all worked out :D

  6. pls suggest if we had to add all purpose flour twice or once?
it has been written twice in the ingredients..
    pls fast

    • you had to add the all purpuse flour twice.
first you should mix the 40g flour with water, later you should combine the 250g flour to the cocoa mixture with other ingredients.

  7. brilliant brownie recipe. I changed the instructions some amounts. I added the 40 g all-purpose flour and the 250 g all-purpose flour together to make 290g in a bowel (used plain flour) and added in the baking powder and sieved them. Did 60g of cadbury drinking chocolate instead of the cocoa powder. The rest of the ingredients just measured out in separate bowels and halved the sugar to 300g. Left out the vanilla as didn’t have any, didn’t add the salt or nuts too. 4tbps of chocolate spread or till taste ( i used chocolate orange spread)

I melted the butter in a big sauce pan first on a medium heat. Then once melted I added the cadbury drinking chocolate and whisked till mixed. I then added the water and mixed again. I then added the combined flour and baking powder mix slowly and whisked each time. Once all mixed i slowly added the sugar and whisked each time again till all used up. Then i added 4 tbps of chocolate orange spread till taste to give it a bit more chocolate taste. Then once all mixed through, put into tin and into oven. I got it baking on a 180c to 170c fan. I should of measured my tin because its got to big for it.
