Apple Crumble Recipe

 

Apple crumble is my number one pudding choice, especially in Winter. Take a look this great apple crumble recipe.

Ingredients

550g (1lb 4oz) Bramley apples
10ml (2tsp) low-calorie sweetener
15ml (1tbsp) lemon juice
25g (1oz) butter
100g (31 1/4 2oz) digestive biscuits
100g (31 1/4 2oz) chopped mixed nuts

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C, 350°F, gas mark 4. Peel, core and slice 550g (1lb 4oz) Bramley apples and place in a saucepan with 10ml (2tsp) low-calorie sweetener and 15ml (1tbsp) lemon juice. Cover and cook over a low heat until apples are softened.

2. Transfer the apples to an ovenproof dish. Melt 25g (1oz) butter and stir in 100g (31 1/4 2oz) digestive biscuits, crushed, until well blended. Stir in 100g (31 1/4 2oz) chopped mixed nuts.

3. Spoon the biscuit mixture over the apples evenly. Bake for 20 minutes until golden.

Cooking time: 40 mins

    yea, you can use normal sugar…it will be sweeter and not as good for your teeth though :)
