Hi Sammy, thanks for this tip, I was originally always cooking them out of the fridge so I'll give your advice a go.
I already add loads of ground Pepper (can't beat it! haha)

Hi Jenny
I always cook my steak in butter and season with salt and pepper…I season the steak and put the butter on the steak, not in the pan.. always comes out lovely!
Whilst my steak is resting I then fry my mushrooms in the juices left in the pan.
